Even though requiring Medicaid recipients to work is one of the few areas in which Governor John Bel Edwards and Republican legislators agree, experts say implementing the rules may not have much of an impact.
While LSU President F. King Alexander was at LSUE Tuesday afternoon to talk about the LSU Strategic Plan and the university’s economic impact, he said, “Don’t make us wait this out until June,” Alexander said of Gov. John Bel Edwards and legislators making budget decisions.

“We are going to have music playing, drinks flowing. “It is going to be a fun five days,” he said.
Counterfeit bills continue to be found in Eunice, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fotenot.
A flurry of bogus bills surfacedin December and early January, he said, but while reports to police diminished banks continued to find the fake money, he said.
