Eunice Police learned of two shootings within 10 minutes of each other — the first at 5:20 p.m. and the second report coming in at 5:30 p.m. — on Saturday, Police Chief Randy Fontenot said. Police received a report of shots fired at Fuselier and Acadia streets at 5:20 p.m. Saturday.

State Police: Driver runs from crash that killed 2 teens

A two-vehicle fatal crash on U.S. 167 south of La. 697 in Vermilion Parish took the lives of Alana Duhon, 16, of Abbeville and Sydney Colomb, 15, of Maurice, according to a news release from Louisiana State Police Troop I. The wreck occurred about 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
