Father charged in death of 5-month-old child

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies working with Duson Police have arrested a Duson man in the death of a 5-month-old child Tuesday morning, according to a news release from Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson.

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish needs tips to solve vehicle burglary

The Crowley Police Department is investigating a vehicle burglary that occurred at about 4 a.m. Nov. 8, 2017, in the 700 block of North Ave. J, in Crowley. Two suspects were seen entering an unlocked vehicle. They were both described as white males wearing light jackets and dark pants.

Tips sought in Opelousas thefts

St Landry Crime Stoppers and the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspects involved in a theft in the 100 block of Sunnydale Road in Opelousas. On Dec. 14, 2017, the owner reported that he left his residence at about 8 a.m. then at 11 a.m.

Recently the Secret Service sent out an advisory of skimming devices found in Lafayette. Skimming devices were found within gas pumps of a local gas station on Guilbeau Road.
