Student arrested following bomb threat at parish school

OPELOUSAS — An Opelousas teenager was arrested following a bomb threat at a parish high school. Kayla Rose Hooks, 18, of the 100 block of Victoria Loop in Opelousas, was arrested on charges of terrorizing (felony), communicating of false information of planned adn bombing on school property St.

Area men arrested in connection with separate burglary reports

A Church Point man and a Lafayette man have been arrested in connection with separate burglaries in Acadia Parish. Multiple vehicles burglaries north of Crowley and in the Roberts Cove community have been solved with the arrest of a Lafayette man.
