St. Landry Parish Sheriff arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Wednesday, Feb. 25 Patrick Dwayne Lewis, 37, 600 block of East Street, Opelousas.

Jane, beloved companion of Elton Faul, Jr., passed away peacefully joining her son Benito Canales, Jr. on February 19, 2026. She was known for her warm heart and kindness to everyone who crossed her path.

Percy Henry Manuel

Percy Henry Manuel, 77, of Ventress, Louisiana, passed away after a long battle with cancer February 23, 2026. Percy was born on September 14, 1948, to the late JB Manuel and Agnes DeVille Manuel. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
