Friday, Sept. 8
Kelonda Shernette Pitre Thibodeaux, 39, 2700 block of Highway 752, Opelousas. Criminal trespass, simple assault (2 counts). Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Rayne Police requested Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations to investigate an officer-involved shooting in the 1000 block of East Jefferson Davis Avenue in the city limits of Rayne at about 11:45 p.m. Thursday.
La. 3277 (George Soileau Road) will have daily alternating lane closures from La. 757 to La. 374 through Wednesday for asphalt paving operations.
The lane closures will take place daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.

911 ceremony planned
In Honor and Remembrance 911 Ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Eunice Circle Park.
The ceremony is hosted and sponsored by Woodmen Life Chapter 243, American Legion Post 129, VFW Post 8971, and DAV Chapter 19.
The public is invited to attend.
