School Board may OK deal to buy Opelousas Biomedical Academy

The St. Landry Parish School Board may agree Thursdayto buy the Opelousas Biomedical Academy for an apparent bargain price of $55,767. The price includes about 12 acres in the northwest corner of Linwood Subdivision in Opelousas. The site is near Opelousas Senior High School.

Woman arrested in fatal wreck

Eunice Police are charging a woman with negligent homicide and obstruction of justice in a fatal wreck that occurred at East Maple Avenue and Lewis Street on Aug. 13. Arrested was Auriel Michel Le Olivier, 32, of the 7100 block of Ozenne Road, Jeanerette.
