My used Murray five-speed spyder-bike with the high handlebars only cost 25 bucks but it was one of the coolest bikes of the age.
Man, I loved that bike.
During the long summer days, I rode with a group of kids.

Eunice Players Theater opens children’s production Friday

The Eunice Players Theater is pleased to announce its upcoming Children Production of “Once Upon A Fairy Tale” to be held on July 28-30 and Aug. 3-6.
Evening performances are scheduled for 7 and Sunday matinees are scheduled for 2 p.m. All performances will be held at the theater located a 121 S.

Confederate monument conundrum

A monument to Confederate soldiers on the St Landry Parish Courthouse continues to present a conundrum to the Parish Council.
An estimate of $23,000 to disassemble the 100-plus year-old monument on the northeast corner of the square was presented by Opelousas lawyer Thomas Dejean.
