Ordinances regulate movable structures

The Eunice Board of Aldermen approved amending two ordinances regulating movable structures. Both were introduced by Alderwoman Connie Thibodeaux and approved at the June 13 meeting. One change is to forbid storing house trailers, mobile homes “and the like” in the city.

Police pay proves a moving target

Last week the Eunice Board of Aldermen approved a pay raise for police officers to $16 an hour. And, Mayor Scott Fontenot said he would make the raise effective on June 25. The $16 an hour adds up to $33,280 a year and is up from $12.75 an hour.
