The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. April 1-April 3 Nicholas Wilson Sam, 30, 300 block of W Vine Street, Washington. Illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, attempted second degree murder (3 counts). Arrested by Opelousas Police.

Richard Adam Doucet, I, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the age of 59. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kerry Doucet officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
