Johnson sees harder edge in partisan politics

In 2017, first-term Congressman Mike Johnson arrived in Congress asking other members to sign a civility pledge. On Friday, Johnson was in Eunice to accept artwork by Zach Soileau depicting the Liberty Theatre and commented on the state of civility in the Capitol.

LSUE’s season ends

CLINTON, Mississippi – LSU Eunice saw its season come to an end in the Region 23 semifinals after Jones College took a 100-74 victory on Wednesday at A.E. Wood Coliseum on the campus of Mississippi College.

Lady Cats win on Senior Night

Eunice High celebrated Senior Night and sealed a tie for the District 4-4A championship as the Lady Bobcats rolled to a 17-0 win over LaGrange. With a win on Monday over Washington Marion, the Lady Cats (20-5, 6-1) will be co-champions with North Vermilion (16-7, 7-1).

Lady Jays fall in district finale

Catholic High of Pointe Coupee claimed its 10th straight district title as the Lady Hornets grabbed a 8-1 win Wednesday over the St. Edmund Lady Jays.

Lady Bengals grab sweep

LSU Eunice softball thrived in all three phases of the game as the Bengals took a doubleheader sweep of Galveston College. The Lady Bengals (28-12) swept back-to-back twinbills for the first time this season.
