Eunice Police make arrest in drive-by shooting Kayden Mykal Guillory, 19, of Eunice was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder in connection with a drive-by shooting in the 200 block of North Vivian on Feb. 23. Guillory, is of the 1300 block of Darrell Street, Eunice.

St. Landry Parish Government announces 2nd BBQ Festival

The second annual BBQ Festival is scheduled June 9 to 11 at the Yambilee Grounds in Opelousas. Headlining the weekend will be performances by Lil Nate, Chee Weez and Rusty Metoyer.

Grace “Pat” Ruth de los Santos Gil passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the age of 89. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Sam Fontana Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Thomas More Cemetery.
