It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Bellard announces his passing on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 6:32 p.m. at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley. He was 89. A celebration of life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Mathilda Catholic Church in Eunice.

New pastor at First Baptist Church

The Rev. Andrew Bates is the new pastor at First Baptist Church in Eunice. Rev. Bates comes to Eunice from Baton Rouge. Rev. Bates has been married for the past eight years to his best friend Emily Smart Bates and the couple has one daughter Abigail who is two-years-old.
