Tips sought in Robert's Cove vehicle burglary

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a vehicle burglary that occurred in the 6400 block of Roberts Cove Road at about 1:30 a.m. Feb. 16. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and stole assorted tools.

Opelousas man indicted for rape

According to St. Landry Parish District Attorney Chad Pitre, a Grand Jury on Tuesday returned a four-count indictment against Kenneth Paul Rene, 43, of Opelousas, for the aggravated rape and first-degree rape of his victims. Rene is accused of sexually abusing these victims between 2015 and 2021.
