The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. November 18-November 20 David Paul Bordelon, Jr., 33, 2100 block of W. Dudley Street, Eunice. Theft of a motor vehicle, hit and run. Arrested by Eunice Police. Amanda Hardy Jones, 38, 200 block of W.

Farrell James Ashford

Farrell James Ashford passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at the age of 71. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Duralde with Father Bala Rayapati Celebrant. Burial will follow in Ashford Cemetery in Basile.

Eunice Police Arrests report

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. November 17 Christopher Mettetal, 30, 1600 block of West Vine, Eunice. Contempt of court. Jeremy Ryan Ashworth, 30, 100 block of Pat Bidez Road, Eunice. Theft, value less than $1,000, shoplifting.

Jennise “Janice” Hebert

Jennise “Janice” Hebert, age 83, formerly of Lafayette area, died on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at The Acadian at Southwind in Crowley, Louisiana. She was born and raised in Basile, LA, where she also attended school and graduated from Basile High.

Parade of Lights scheduled for Dec. 15 The Eunice Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a Christmas Parade, “Parade of Lights,” set for 6 p.m. Dec. 15. Sponsors are in need for the success of the parade. Parade entries are $25 each. The parade will begin at North 2nd and continue down Park Avenue.

EUNICE–The world lost a beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Andrea L. West. She passed away in the comfort of her home on Friday, November 18, 2022 with loving family by her side. She was 74. A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice.
