Probation warrant. Danny Rider, 36, 1700 block of West Magnolia, Eunice. Domestic abuse battery with strangulation.

new voter ID cards The St. Landry Parish Registrar of Voters has announced that due to precinct reapportionment and the reapportionment of municipalities and school board districts, voters in St. Landry Parish will receive updated Voter Identification Cards.

Unrestrained driver killed in La. 13 crash; Eunice passenger dies

UPDATE: On Aug.17, Louisiana State Police was notified that 40-year-old Gregory Lafleur of Eunice succumbed to his injuries. Lafleur was the passenger in the Honda Accord which was involved in the crash on La. 13 near Ellis Road in Acadia Parish on Aug. 16. Shortly after 4:30 a.m.

Sylvia Ann Fontenot

It is with great sadness that the family of Sylvia Ann Fontenot announces her passing on Tuesday, August 9 at 5:35 a.m. at her residence in Groves, Texas. She was 70. A celebration of life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 20 at 11 a.m. at Progressive Baptist Church in Iota.

John Earl Boudreaux

John Earl Boudreaux passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the age of 72. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tommy Alison officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary.

Arrested by Opelousas Police. Amanda Letrice Hardy, 38, 200 block of W. Cherry Street, Opelousas. Bench warrant.

Cajun Prairie Habitat Preservation Society to meet The Cajun Prairie Habitat Preservation Society will have its annual summer meeting on Aug. 27 at LSUE. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. The meeting will be preceded by a tour of the Eunice prairie, starting at 8 a.m.
