Eunice High School Principal Mitch Fontenot praised his students and staff for their LEAP score performance. The scores were released Aug. 3 by the state Department of Education. Last week, Fontenot released an assessment of the scores.

Parish Council OKs poll changes

After numerous questions about voting, demographer Mike Hefner said voters with questions about their polling place should contact the parish Registrar of Voters Office. Hefner was at Wednesday’s St. Landry Parish Council meeting where some polling locations were changed.

Overdose death turned into help for addicts
