The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Friday, Dec. 15 Lakisha Shawntele Leday, 42, 500 block of Highway 307, Thibodeaux. Domestic abuse battery (child endangerment). Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Driver killed, other driver arrested following head-on crash in St. Landry Parish

A two-vehicle crash on La. 182 near Richmar Loop in St. Landry Parish claimed the life of 31-year-old Ledisha A. Roberts of Opelousas, according to a news release from Louisiana State Police Troop I. State Police were notified of the crash shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday.

Crash kills man on I-10 near Rayne

Shortly after 8 a.m. Friday, Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash on Interstate 10 about 3 miles west of La. 35. The crash claimed the life of 45-year-old Christopher Baker Fisher of Lafayette.

Police seek shooter after 3 wounded included toddler

Eunice Police are searching for a male who is suspected of shooting three people including a 2-year-old toddler in the 300 block of Corn Street. Police were dispatched to the scene at 3:43 p.m. Friday, according to Police Chief Kyle LeBouef.

Murder sentence upheld

A murderer lost an appeal of his consecutive life sentences for the ambush-style slaying of two people in 2016. The 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals rejected Jemarcus McLendon’s appeal of the sentence arising from his conviction of the murders of Nakia Ramer Jr. and Shawn Parish in September 2016.
