State Police investigating officer-involved shooting off Perchville Road

The Eunice Police Department requested Troopers to investigate an officer-involved shooting on James Place near Perchville Road in Acadia Parish. One subject was shot and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No officers were injured during the incident. At at about 8:30 p.m.

Lawyer’s husband busted

Calling it “Operation Viper” in a news release, St Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz announced Thursday that David Clarence Marler has been arrested on drug charges and battery of a police officer.

2 charged with drug offenses

Two Lafayette Parish were arrested on drug charges after a vehicle was stopped in a high drug trafficking area in St. Landry Parish. Sheriff Bobby Guidroz stated a male fled the vehicle, but was caught after a foot chase. The female driver was arrested.
