Woman dies in Church Point house fire

State Fire Marshal deputies continue investigating the circumstances surrounding a house fire in Church Point that claimed the life of a female resident. At 6:45 a.m.

Church Point man arrested, linked to thefts

A 28-year-old Church Point man arrested earlier this month is linked to thefts and burglaries in the Lewisburg and Church Point area, according to a news release from St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.
