Thanksgiving holiday travel was deadly across Louisiana

As family and friends gathered for Thanksgiving festivities, troopers investigated multiple fatality crashes throughout our state. Lack of seat belt usage and speed were among the major contributing factors.

5-year-old killed in ATV wreck

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz has confirmed that at 4:43 p.m. Nov. 28, 911 received a call from female stating her husband and 5-year-old juvenile child wrecked while riding a side by side ATV in a field. The wreck occurred near Raider and Frilot Cove Road in the Frilot Cove area.
