In honor of National Police Week, Acting U.S. Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook recognizes the service and sacrifice of federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement. This year, the week is observed May 9 to 15.

Surveillance system eyed for Eunice

Eunice Mayor Scott Fontenot was authorized by the Board of Aldermen to obtain prices for a surveillance system for high-crime areas of Eunice. The move follows a shooting at Laurel Avenue and Nimitz Street that killed two people include one man who was bystander.
