Sheriff: Man stabs woman, kidnaps her

CHURCH POINT — A 42-year-old man is accused of stabbing a woman and then preventing her from calling for help. St.

Police: Victim can’t ID shooter

A shot at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1900 block of West Ash told responding police he could not identify the shooter. Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said police went to the scene after reports of shots fired. “Witnesses in the neighborhood said they heard shots,” he said.
