Indicted Crowley police chief to stay in office

Jimmy Broussard, indicted by an Acadia Parish grand jury Wednesday on six felony charges including malfeasance in office and obstruction of justice, will continue to serve as Crowley’s chief of police, according to Mayor Tim Monceaux.

Eunice Police ID shooting victim, juvenile is sought

Eunice Police identified the victim in Wednesday's shooting and know who the shooter is. Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said the victim is Keshawn Guillory, 20, of South Beulah Street, Eunice. He has undergone surgery for his injuries and is listed in stable condition.

Man suffers life-threatening wound in shooting Wednesday

Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot says a shooting outside Golden Seafood resulted in one male being wounded and another sought. The shooting occurred about 4 p.m. Wednesday after two males argued inside the store on East Maple.
