Church Point Police officer injured in vehicle chase

A Church Point Police officer received minor injuries during a vehicle pursuit on Sunday, and some of the suspects from the incident fled the scene on foot.

Eunice Police identify shooting suspect

Eunice Police are attempting to locate Jasten Thomas, of the 200 block of North7th Street, Eunice, in connection with a shooting that occurred about 6:45 pm. Sunday in the 300 block of North 7th Street. In a news release, Police Chief Randy Fontenot identified Thomas a 19-year-old black male.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Office reports arrests

Eunice Police investigating Sunday shooting

A man was wounded three times in a shooting at 7th and reed Sunday afternoon. Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said a vehicle on North 7th Street stopped and one person got out. Several people were present and shooting started wounding the person.
