Drivers killed in head-on wreck in St. Landry Parish

A two-vehicle fatal crash on La. 182 near Annointing Drive St. Landry Parish claimed the life of 20-year-old Brashley Renee Chambers of Opelousas and 43-year-old Ramando Fredrico Royston of Opelousas. according to a news release from Louisiana State Police Troop I. The wrecked occurred about 10 p.m.

2 juveniles wounded in East Maple fracas

Two juveniles were wounded — one critically — in a fracas that occurred about 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of East Maple, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot. “During the fight guns were brought out and gunfire started,” Fontenot said.

Eunice Police working shooting on East Maple -- 2 wounded

Two juveniles were wounded in a shooting that occurred after 7 p.m. in the 400 block of East Maple, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot. One juvenile was taken to a Lafayette hospital and another to Acadian Medical Center, he said.
