Eunice Police: 2 injured in shooting

Two people were injured in a shooting Saturday night on Townhome Drive, according to a news release from Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot. The news release follows. Eunice Police again responded to a call of shooting on Townhome Drive, The second time in a week.

Update: Crash kills Basile woman, Eunice man

Update: The deceased passenger is identified as 38-year-old Michael C. Vidrine of Eunice, LA. On May 8, at approximately 4:15 p.m., Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop D responded to a two-vehicle, fatal crash on La. 27 on top of the Choupique Bayou Bridge in Calcasieu Parish.

Acadia Parish patrol vehicles

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office has declared fove vehicles as surplus. In doing so, Sheriff KP Gibson has donated one police unit to five different agencies to assist with their needs for units to patrol their communities.
