Eunice Police K9 helped in fugitive capture

A police chase from Rapides Parish crossed over into Evangeline Parish Monday evening which resulted in a male subject being captured in the Jewell Lane area of Pine Prairie. The female suspect, who was driving the vehicle, remains at large as of Wednesday.

Reward offered for information about tractor theft

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the felony theft of a tractor that was stolen from the 100 block of BM Oil Road in Evangeline between Dec. 27 and 30, according to Crime Stoppers of Acadia.
