Juvenile arrested here after chase from Ville Platte

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested after a vehicle pursued from Ville Platte was stopped on La. 29 about a half mile from St. Mary Road at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said Eunice City Marshal and Ville Platte Police units made the stop.

Police recover fifth gun from Double Action burglary

A fifth gun stolen in a burglary at Double Action was recovered Thursday by Broussard Police, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said. The pistol was recovered from a vehicle involved a pursuit by Broussrd Police, he said.

Wreck on La. 13

A wreck involving a silver SUV occurred shortly after noon Wednesday on La. 13 South near the intersection of Buckhorn Drive. The vehicle was overturned off the shoulder of the roadway.

Eunice Police K9 helped in fugitive capture

A police chase from Rapides Parish crossed over into Evangeline Parish Monday evening which resulted in a male subject being captured in the Jewell Lane area of Pine Prairie. The female suspect, who was driving the vehicle, remains at large as of Wednesday.
