A state of laziness? I don’t think so

I was hoping we weren’t going to make the list but, deep down, I knew better. The votes have been counted and yes, my adopted home of Kentucky is one of the laziest states in America. (It also happens to be the eighth most obese state in the country.

Juvenile, 14, arrested for school threats

Police here have arrested a 14-year-old in connection with threats made against the town’s schools that results in closures last week.

2 drivers killed in head-on crash in Vermilion Parish

Shortly after 6:30 a.m. today, Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash on La. 14 near Fore Road in Vermilion Parish. The crash claimed the life of 29-year-old Kiristan Michelle Mitchell of Kaplan and 18-year-old Kalix James Broussard of Kaplan.
