Lafayette man pleads guilty to possessing child pornography images on cell phone

Trevor Lee Engle, 22, of Lafayette, pleaded guilty Friday before U.S. District Judge Michael J. Juneau for possessing approximately 300 images of child pornography on a cellular phone, U.S. Attorney David C. Joseph announced.

Police: Flashing a gun at passing car led to arrest, multiple charges

A road rage incident involving one driver flashing a gun at a passing car resulted in police charging a Eunice man with firearm, drug and other charges, Lt. Ryan Young said. Police received a call at about 4 p.m.

Police: Domestic call escalated

News reports over the weekend were that Eunice Police were pursuing a man with a gun. But Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said when the suspect was caught after a chase that began Saturday and ended Monday, no gun was found.
