Eunice man arrested on burglary charges

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies, working with St. Landry Sheriff’s Office and Eunice Police have arrested a Eunice man on burglary charges, according to a news release from Sheriff K.P. Gibson. Brandon Charpentier was arrested by Eunice Police on warrants issued by all three of the agencies.

Shooting victim identified

A 23-year-old male was shot dead in an early Saturday morning shooting during a Christmas party at the Southeast Community Center, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said. The victim has been identified as Tyree Fredrick, 23, of the 200 block of Manuel Street in Eunice.
