The fifth week of Eunice Ladies Tennis League (ELTL) ended the evening with Team Pitre winning 26 points against Team R&B scoring 12 points. On Court 1, Team Pitre’s members Michelle Lafleur and Jamie Kirsch won 6-2, 6-1 against Team R&B’s Debbie Miller and Bonnie Beaullieu.

LDWF announces road closure in Thistlethwaite Wildlife Management Area

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) closed the intersection of Plant Road and Rice Field Road at Thistlethwaite Wildlife Management Area (WMA) for culvert replacement on Wednesday. The closure is expected to last three days.
