Boat ramp closes at Acadiana Conservation Corridor

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has closed the boat ramp on La. 29 on the west side of I-49 at the Acadiana Conservation Corridor Wildlife Management Area (WMA) for construction of a new boat ramp. It will be closed for approximately two weeks.

As college football expands its playoff field to 12 teams for the 2024 season, the LSU Tigers will have top-level talent needed to make noise, as junior offensive tackle Will Campbel and junior linebacker Harold Perkins Jr. were both named preseason first-team All-Americans by the Associated Press.

LSU sells out of season tickets for 100th year of Tiger Stadium

BATON ROUGE – LSU’s 100th year of football in Tiger Stadium has already reached a milestone as the school announced a sellout of season tickets with 71,250 being sold for 2024. The 71,250 season tickets sold this year are the most for LSU since 2017.

Lady Bengals add Schumaker to staff

As the LSUE Lady Bengals continue to rebuild their women’s basketball staff, they recently added Kayla Schumaker to the women’s basketball staff. Schumaker comes to Eunice from Independence Community College, where she served as the top assistant on the Pirates’ staff head coach coach Rob Beckmann.

Eunice High volleyball banks on key returning players

There’s no doubt that over the past couple years, Eunice High’s volleyball team has been the best it has ever been under coach Wayne Fontenot. Two years ago, the team set the school record for wins and last season it was streaky as they finished the year at 16-16.
