Summer training lifts fall success

Championship teams are never built in the summertime. But, they certainly could be destroyed there. It’s the reason why summer strength and conditioning programs have become so important to high school football programs around the state. It’s in the dog days of summer where resilience is built.

Manuel named sports editor

Rhett Manuel, a native of Eunice and teacher at Eunice High School, has been tabbed to replace longtime Sports Editor Tom Dodge here at the Eunice News.

LSU Eunice sophomore Blake Lobell has been named the 2024 NJCAA Division II National Pitcher of the Year, the National Junior College Athletic Association announced on Monday. Lobell was given the same honor by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
