Feb. 11
Joni Chapman, 18, 4500 block of Pine Point Road, Ville Platte. Contributing to delinquency of a juvenile, aiding and abetting entry/remaining-forbid. Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Department.
Eric Joseph Leblanc, 42, 100 block of Camp Ground Road, Krotz Springs. Second-degree battery. Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Department.

Ronald Adam McGee

St. Landry Parish Jail escapee may be headed to Eunice

A 34-year-old Eunice man escaped from the St. Landry Parish Jail at about 9 p.m. Sunday when returning from a work detail and may be headed to Eunice, according to a news release from Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.
Ronald Adam McGee was spotted by Opelousas Police in a gully at West Cherry and South streets in Opelousas.
McGee may be heading to his residence at 2021 Dudley Street in Eunice, Guidroz said.
McGee’s last known address is 2041 Fuselier Road, Mamou, he said.
McGee is described as 6 foot two inches tall and weighing 195 lbs.

Nathan Dean, 35, 100 block of Irma Drive, Lafayette. Criminal trespass (two counts). organized retail theft (two counts). Arrested by Opelousas Police Department.
Damien Lahaye, 35, 300 block of 7th Avenue, Krotz Springs. Bench warrant. Arrested by Krotz Springs Police Department.

Feb. 7
Amad Redding, 26, 100 block of Briarwood Drive, Opelousas. Simple arson (two counts). Arrested by Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal.
Gaige Michael Chilton, 28, 100 block of Highway 93, Carencro. Domestic abuse battery (strangulation (child endangerment). Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Tips sought in Eunice burglaries

Lt. James Bergeron of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office is requesting help in solving multiple burglaries at a Eunice business.
Best Marine located in the 200 block of Murphy Richard Loop was the victim of a burglary on Jan. 21. Entry was gained by the suspects removing a portion of the north wall of his business. Once inside the thieves stole 13 handguns.
On Jan. 28, suspects once again broke through the north wall, but this time triggered his alarm. Nothing was stolen in the burglary but three guns were located in a bag on the floor near the hole in the wall.
