St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Detective Graig Leblanc and Crime Stoppers needs help in solving a shooting in the Arnaudville/Grand Coteau area. At 11:30 p.m. June 10, deputies responded to La. 93 in the Arnaudville/Grand Coteau area in reference to a shooting.

Pursuit leads to stolen vehicle, charges against Lafayette man

A 35-year-old Lafyette man was captured after a pursuit through Chataignier and into St. Landry Parish ending on La. 103 at McGuffy Road where the vehicle wrecked into the ditch.

Man charged with sexual battery of female relatives

An Opelousas man is charged with three counts of sexual battery on two juvenile female family members. St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz identified the man arrested on July 28 as Lewis G. Champagne II, 56, 10975 Highway 190, Opelousas.
