It was sweet revenge for the Bobcats as No. 10 Eunice cruised to a 36-0 win over Bastrop to open the Class 4A playoffs.
Last season, the Rams grabbed an 8-7 win over Eunice in the second round.
The Lady Jays have advanced to the second round of the playoffs twice in the past three seasons.
RESERVE – St. Edmund had its season end in the first round of the Division IV playoffs as Riverside Academy grabbed a 38-19 win over the Blue Jays.
It was a revenge game for the Bobcats against the Rams in the opening round of the Class 4-A football playoffs.
Last season, Bastrop earned an 8-7 win in the second round in wet conditions
No. 10 St. Edmund will open the Division IV playoffs with a trip to No. 7 Riverside Academy.
Most normal football seasons, when teams are practicing during Thanksgiving week, it means they have advanced to the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
But this year, the COVID-19 season, teams are just beginning the LHSAA postseason.
Iota outscored St. Edmund 12-5 in the fourth quarter as the Lady Bulldogs earned a 37-22 win over the Lady Jays.
It was a defensive struggle from the opening tipoff as Iota battled to a 7-5 first quarter lead.

Notre Dame (7-1) entered the game as the fourth-ranked in Division III.
