Manuel enters EHS Sports Hall of Fame

Charles Manuel earned all-state honors as a Bobcat lineman. He is now a member of the Eunice High Sports Hall of Fame. His daughter, Monica Daville, said her father played football and participated in rodeo while he was in high school.

Bobcats visit Patriots for district clash

The Bobcats won their last two games to improve to 4-4 on the season. With wins over North Vermilion and LaGrange, Eunice will be in great position to open the playoffs at Bobcat Field. Eunice is presently No. 16 in the LHSAA Class 4-A power rankings.

Jays to face Crusaders on Senior Night

With the hopes of a district title erased, the Blue Jays still have a chance to start the playoffs with a first round home game. St. Edmund is presently No. 11 in the LHSAA Division IV power rankings. The top eight teams will host to open the playoffs.

Lafleur joins EHS Sports Hall of Fame

John Lauris “Lawman” Lafleur was a legendary Bobcat basketball player. This week, he became the newest member of the Eunice High Sports Hall of Fame. A 1972 EHS graduate, Lafleur died on April 25, 2006.

It was more than just bragging rights Friday night when the Trojans and Blue Jays met on the football field. Sacred Heart remained in first place in District 5-1A with a dominating 40-7 win over rival St. Edmund.

The Bobcats improved to 4-4 on the season as Eunice earned a 28-7 non-district win over the Tioga Indians. The two defenses controlled the game early on as both teams were forced to punt on their first possessions.

Doucet joins EHS Sports Hall of Fame

Nicholas Doucet was a star pitcher on the Bobcats’ 1979 Class 3-A state championship team. Now he is the newest member of the Eunice High Sports Hall of Fame. Doucet went 10-3 during the championship season, winning all four playoff games, including a 4-3 victory over Pineville.

After earning its third win of the season, Eunice steps out of District 4-A play this week as the Bobcats entertain the Tioga Indians. In the Bobcats’ three wins this season, the Eunice (3-4) defense held its opponents to 18 points or less.
