Bobcats face Indians in key district battle

The Bobcats look to jump back into the District 4-4A race as Eunice entertains the Washington-Marion Indians on Friday. Eunice (2-4, 0-1) lost its district opener as Rayne rallied for a 20-14 win over the Bobcats. “I think our guys see the big picture,” Eunice head coach Andre Vige said.

Harry Price joins EHS Sports Hall of Fame

He was the second Eunice Bobcat drafted into the NFL by the San Diego Chargers. Now Harry Price is a member of the 2021 Eunice High Sports Hall of Fame class. Price graduated from EHS in 1975 after a stellar Bobcat athletic career.

The Vikings took their first step to a District 5-1A championship as Opelousas Catholic stunned St. Edmund with a 42-7 win over the Blue Jays. St. Edmund (4-2, 0-1)entertains North Central Friday for homecoming. The Hurricanes (0-6, 0-1) fell 62-30 to Westminster Christian Academy.

Rayne clips Bobcats, 20-14

RAYNE – The winner of this game the last two seasons has gone on to capture the District 4-4A title. Rayne quarterback Dylan Judice connected with Darian Chevallier for a nine-yard touchdown with 2:31 left in the game to lift the Wolves to a 20-14 win over the Eunice Bobcats.

The opening week of District 5-1A competition will go a long way to help determine the district champion. The No. 10 St. Edmund Blue Jays (4-1) will face Opelousas Catholic (4-1), while Catholic High of Pointe Coupee (3-2) travels to Sacred Heart of Ville Platte (4-1).

It’s a chance to reset as the Eunice Bobcats open District 4-4A play at Rayne. The Bobcats (2-3) were shut out 35-0 last week by the undefeated Church Point Bears. “The first half of our season is over,” Eunice head coach Andre Vige said.

In the district opener for both teams, it a was fight to the finish between the Lady Jays and Lady Warriors, but Northside Christian downed St. Edmund in three straight sets. The Lady Jays kept each game close, but could not pull out a win. St.

Bears run past Bobcats, 35 - 0

CHURCH POINT – The Bears proved worthy of their No. 9 ranking as Church Point remained undefeated with a 35-0 win over the Eunice Bobcats. Eunice (2-3) opens District 4-4A play this week at Rayne. The Wolves cruised to a 47-7 win over Crowley.

Blue Jays clip Wildcats, 14-12

St. Edmund quarterback William Bundick scored on a two-yard run with 3:12 left in the game and Justin Landry’s kick lifted the Blue Jays to a 14-12 win over Livonia. The Blue Jays (4-1) trailed 14-7 when Bundick recovered a Wildcat fumble as the SEH 42 with 5:48 left in the game.
