Blue Jays entertain 4-A Livonia

For the third week in a row, St. Edmund will face a Class 4-A team as the Blue Jays take on Livonia. The Wildcats lost their first three games, falling to Catholic High of Pointe Coupee (47-24), Istrouma (55-20) and Port Allen (31-0).

Evangel downs Blue Jays, 41-27

SHREVEPORT – The No. 8 ranked Blue Jays suffered their first loss of the season as Evangel rolled to a 41-27 win over St. Edmund. The Eagles took control of the game early with an interception on the Blue Jays’ opening drive.

The Eunice Lady Bobcats grabbed a 3-0 win over rival St. Edmund Monday in volleyball action. But as exciting the win was for the home team, there was a bigger event that took center stage.

Mustangs run past Bobcats, 34-7

MOREAUVILLE – Avoyelles used the game clock to their favor as the Mustangs grabbed a 34-7 win over the Eunice Bobcats. Eunice stopped the Mustangs on fourth down in the opening possession of the game and the two offenses then exchanged fumbles.

Blue Jays face winless Tara

One week the Blue Jays won on the ground and the next game, St. Edmund attacked through the air. The Blue Jays opened the season with wins over Oakdale and Basile and the Blue Jays will face Class 4-A Tara this week. “We are a run first team,” St. Edmund head coach James Shiver said.
