One may ask “Who let the Dogs Out?” Saturday afternoon as the third annual Parade of Paws parade of canines walked past South Second Street. The third annual Parade of Paws was held Saturday afternoon at downtown Second Street.

Drive smart in foggy weather

Driving in fog can be tricky and unsafe. Always exercise caution when fog rolls in. Foggy conditions require drivers to use even more caution and attention to the roads. During the past few weeks I drove to work in the early morning fog.

VFW Post and Auxiliary honors Americanism Essay winners

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8971 and Ladies Auxiliary each year host and sponsor an Americanism essay contest for Eunice students. Students from all Eunice elementary, junior high and high schools enter and participate in the contest.

St. Ed Earth Science students demonstrate

Special guest at Satelite Civic Club meeting

The Satellite Civic and Social Club held its monthly meeting hosted by Charles Daigle at his home on Feb. 23 with a special guest Mayor Scott Fontenot. Fontenot spoke on several topics concerning crime, economic growth and quality of life for all citizens of Eunice.

Eunice Jr. High Beta Club attend La. Convention

The Eunice Junior High School Jr. Beta Club attended the Louisiana Jr Beta Convention on Feb. 21 at the Cajundome. EJHS was awarded a Growth Award for increasing club membership by at least 10 percent during the 2018-2019 school year.
