Phillips, Lachney wed during Nuptial Mass ceremony

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice was the setting for the evening ceremony uniting Courtney Blaire Phillips and Joseph Kyle Lachney in Holy Matrimony. The double ring Nuptial Mass ceremony was held on Friday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m.

EJHS Jr. Beta Club donates to Toys for Tots

The Eunice Junior High School Jr. Beta Club partnered with the Eunice Fire Department to deliver toys to families this Christmas during the annual Toys for Tots drive. Accepting donations from the fire department are Chaise Brown, left, and Steven Fontenot.

Eunice High School’s environmental science class

Eunice High’s Coach Trae Brown’s AP Environmental Science class conducted a lab on re-enacting mechanical and chemical weathering and witnessing the permeability and porosity of different soil types and how those soil types allow certain vegetation to grow on top of them.

Training session at St. Ed

Louisiana’s House of Representatives approved a bill that would allow school personnel to administer opioid overdose antidotes to overdose victims. St. Edmund faculty and staff were among some of the first to be trained in this effort.
