Highland Elementary hosts first annual Family Banquet

Highland had its first annual Family Banquet on Nov. 10. Members of the school’s faculty and staff were present for the event. Principal Lorie LeDoux added, “We want to truly thank the members of our community that made any type of contribution to make this night possible.

St. Edmund Elementary students honor veterans

St. Edmund Elementary fourth-and fifth-graders honored and recognized their family and friends who served our country, veterans, during an appreciation reception, held Nov. 15 at the KC Hall.

St. Edmund Kynlie Floyd named champion barrel racer

Kynlie Floyd, 7, a second grader at St. Edmund Elementary has discovered her passion of horses,riding them, and riding her horse Buster at rodeos. Floyd has been a member of the Acadiana Barrel Racing Association for the past year.

Volunteers help beautification project along Second Street

The Eunice Bulb & Blossom Club has partnered with Eunice Developmental Center volunteers, and the Eunice Community Garden to replant and maintain the planter boxes on Second Street in Eunice. Phase 1 of the project began at the Liberty Theater area on Nov. 15.

Dads & Kids at Highland Elementary

Highland Elementary welcomed Dads on campus. The volunteer program Dads & Kids are a positive representation at school campus. The dads recognized to ladies on campus, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. These two Highland ladies have overcome cancer.
