Recycling and creating new at Eunice Elementary

Rebecca Miller’s second-grade class at Eunice Elementary recently studied about recycling in science. Students had to complete a project using an item that they were going to throw away and turn it in to something else. Students got creative.

Broussard at Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will have a performance by August Broussard & Friends.
Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m.

Helping kids find a hobby

Some children may discover hobbies on their own, which is OK if it’s a hobby that they will enjoy and stick to.

St. Mathilda’s Lenten fried fish dinners

Philomena Bernard with St. Mathilda KPC Ladies Auxiliary prepares fried catfish to add to plate lunches of fried catfish, court-boullon, sweet peas, and a dessert, all for a donation of $8. The plates lunches were available on Ash Wednesday.
