Sheryl Cormier at Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will have a performance by Sheryl Cormier & Cajun Sound. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3.

St. Edmund High School celebrated homecoming

St. Edmund High School students celebrate homecoming this week with different dress days. Designated for Monday was Occupation wear; Tuesday was declared Duo Day; Animal Day was celebrated Wednesday, Traditional Blue & White Day for underclassmen and seniors dressed as kings and queens Thursday.

Birth Announcements

Jayce Brooks Courtney and Michael Brooks of Eunice announce the birth of their son, Jayce Elliot Brooks, born at Acadian Medical Center on Sept. 12 weighing 6 pounds and 8 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Amanda Myers and Marty Gaspard. Paternal grandparents are Christine Gotte and Thomas Brooks.

Charles Drew 50th class reunion celebration

The Charles Drew High School class 1968 celebrated its 50th year class reunion with a weekend of festivities, food, and fun. The celebration was held on the weekend of Aug. 31. The celebration program was held at the Southeast Neighborhood Center in Eunice.

Seniors attend TRIAD workshop in Eunice

The quarterly TRIAD meeting was held in Eunice at the VFW Post 8971 hall Wednesday. Many seniors attended, listened to guest speakers, listened to live music, won door prizes, played bingo and visited many health providers and vendors. At noon they were treated to a luncheon.

Business Yard of Month chosen

Hulin Health Urgent Care at 1970 West Laurel was presented the Business Yard of the Month marker by the Bulb and Blossom Garden Club. The business features flax lollies, Sunshine ligustrm, agapanthas and camellias.

East Elementary celebrates homecoming

East Elementary celebrated homecoming last week with different designated dress days. One day students dressed as their favorite holiday.
