The new year is around the corner and many people make New Year’s resolutions.
I have made new year resolutions in the past, however, I haven’t in the last few years, and only because I tend to not follow through with them.
The engagement of Alyson Claire Chachere, of Eunice, and Jacob Michael Kora, of Baton Rouge, has been announced.

Eunice Elementary would like to thank students from the Eunice Career and Technical Education Center for repairing the school’s flag pole.
To celebrate “Honor Your Veterinarian Day”, Eunice Elementary invited Dr. Tim Deshotel, vet and owner of Northside Vet Clinic, to speak to the students.
St. Edmund students and faculty celebrated Christmas with a Christmas spirit dress day recently.
Deanna Poullard was selected selected first-place winner on the door decorating contest at Goodhope Place Apartments. Also recognized were Barbara Leday, second place, and Maire Scott, third place.
“Tis the season to be jolly,” but Louisiana, like the rest of the nation, produces more waste in December than any other month.
Live fresh Christmas trees are beautiful and the smell or aroma of a fresh pine, or any other variety tree is nice.
