Residential Garden of Month selected

The home of J. B. and Winnie Oliver located on West Ash Street was chosen as Residential Yard for September by volunteer member of the Bulb & Blossom Club Lynn Pavich. The yard is manicured with beds of flowering annuals, perennials and shrubs.

Kyrin Leday Alanna Guillory and Markies Leday of Eunice announce the birth of their son, Kyrin Cain Leday, born at Acadian Medical Center on Sept. 4 weighing 8 pounds and 3.8 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Allen and Lorinda Guillory of Eunice. Paternal grandmother is Renella Jones of Port Arthur.

First planning meeting of Noel together

The 19th annual Noel On The Prairie will be held Nov. 10 and 11 this year. Some of the participating business merchants met together for the first planning meeting to discuss specific details about the holiday event.

Forest Huval at Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will have a performance by Forest Huval & Friends. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3.

Grilling chicken

I’m ready for cooler outdoor temperatures and grilling. Of course, I don’t know the techniques of grilling but I have terrific family members that grill for me. Sometimes, I bet grilling can be tricky and everyone wants to eat grilled foods completely cooked and flavorful.
