Studying shadows at East

East Elementary first grade students in Leah Miller’s and Katie Murphy’s class were studying shadows. Students had the opportunity to experience outdoor activity and explore at different times of the day and they observed how their body shadows changed.

Second-graders do seed dispersal activity

After studying how plants grow in different places all around the world second-grade students at East Elementary pretended to be bison with their socks on their shoes as animal fur to see the amount of seeds animals pick up on their fur and bring to new places helping plants grow in new places.
