Tips on how to control weedy vines

Weeds are nature’s way of reminding us gardeners who is really in charge. Stop mowing the lawn and weeding beds for just one summer, and you will see what I mean.

Louisiana State FFA officers present Goodwill Tour at Eunice High School

Eunice High School hosted the Louisiana State FFA Officer team on Aug. 16. The state FFA officers led many FFA members on identifying everyday heroes, writing a short positive statement to a classmate in need of encouragement, and a game of listening to instructions while being blindfolded.

St. Ed students help Eunice Elementary students

Some of St. Edmund students delivered a check to Mary Dupre, principal at Eunice Elementary School. On Aug. 17, St. Edmund students participated in a special jean day where they were allowed to wear jeans for the cost of $1.

United Way gives supplies to Eunice Elementary

Louisiana 4-H’ers win fifth place at national forestry competition
