Local bank partners with Highland

Hancock Whitney will be partnering with Highland Elementary to teach financial education. Students will be able to read two Bernstein Bear books. Students will also receive books and a piggy bank.

Youth taught drug awareness, nature skills at camp

By Johnny Morgan, jmorgan@agcenter.lsu.edu CLINTON — Many people would think that 4-year-olds are too young for instruction on drug abuse. But getting information to them about the dangers of drugs was the goal of a recent camp in East Feliciana Parish.

Eunice schools schedule open house events

First day for Eunice public students is Aug. 9. St. Edmund students report for first day of school Aug. 8. Eunice High School will hold its fall registration for the 2018-2019 school year. At registration the school will require two proofs of residence.

Gelato is ice cream’s Italian cousin
