Coloring contest winners

Golden ticket winners named

Heidi Istre, a first grader at Highland Elementary was named a golden ticket winner of the Eunice Fire Department sponsored coloring contest. Her ticket gets her a ride on the fire truck during Eunice Christmas parade.

Highland names winners of coloring contest

Highland Elementary participated in a coloring contest sponsored by the Eunice Fire Department. The two top winners were Heidi Istre and Jordan Reed. They both received a Golden Ticket to ride upon the fire truck with Santa during the annual Kiwanis Christmas Parade.

Fire Prevention coloring contest winners

Students at East Elementary recently participated in a Fire Prevention coloring contest sponsored by the Eunice Police Department. Winners will have the pleasure of riding on the fire truck with Santa Claus during the Kiwanis Christmas Parade.

Parents Night at East Elementary

Parents of students at East Elementary were invited to participate in Parents Night recently. During the event, teachers demonstrated for the parents strategies that they teach students in order for them to be more successful in the classroom.

St. Edmund High National Honors Society

St. Edmund students were inducted into the St. Ed National Honor Society on Nov. 16. On Nov. 16, students were inducted into St. Edmund National Honor Society.

This week’s Student of the Week is Adrienne LeDoux, a senior at Eunice High School Her parents are Chris and Tonya LeDoux. If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I would like to live in Hawaii because it’s very beautiful and full of good people.

Birth Announcements

Romanaski Williams Jr. Romanaski Williams and Ashante Wooden announce the birth of their son, Romanaski D’Mar Williams Jr., born at Acadian Medical Center on Dec. 3 weighing 7 pounds and 4.2 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Ronald Moore of Evergreen and the late Oneista Wilson.

Creole Christmas with Goldman Thibodeaux at Liberty

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a Creole Christmas performance by Goldman Thibodeaux & The Lawtell Playboys. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3.
