Feucht, Gautreaux exchange vows during Nupital Mass ceremony

Dr. Leslie Katherine Feucht and Mr. Derrick Rocky Gautreaux were wed during a Nuptial Mass celebrated on Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Eunice. Monsignor Robert Romero officiated the mass assisted by Deacon Chuck Ortego who delivered an inspirational homily.

Angel Tree at Post Office

An Angel Tree is posted on the wall at the Eunice Post Office lobby for residents at Eunice Manor Nursing Home. Pick an angel, purchase a gift, return the gift wrapped gift to the Post Office by Dec. 19.

East fourth-graders enjoy AR party

East Elementary’s fourth graders were given a goal at the start of AR program to reach in time for AR activities. All students in attendance reached their specified goal. Students were treated with juice and popcorn as they created Halloween spiders.

Black Women Achievements against The Odds set

The City of Eunice will celebrate a festival parade and program and invites the public to an event, “Black Women Achievement Against The Odds” on Jan. 28. The keynote speaker and parade marshal will be Col. Dr. Gwendolyn Hebert Thompson, a Eunice native. Thompson has served 37 years in U.S.

Take care of your holiday plants

We use a variety of decorative plants to dress up our homes during the holidays. Poinsettias, holiday cactuses and living Christmas trees, in particular, play an important part in decking the halls. How well you care for them once you get them home has a lot to do with how long they stay attractive.

Holiday baking season arrives

Arien Harper’s first grade class at Eunice Elementary performed a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) activity before the Thanksgiving holidays. Students made the Mayflower that could hold approximately 100 people.

Eunice High food drive senior project
